Weekend Inspiration | Recipe Round-Up

by Natalie on September 30, 2011

It’s Friday and another weekend is almost here! I don’t know about you, but my weekends tend to be filled with cooking. I like to try new things at breakfast and make a nice Sunday lunch. So I am bringing you the best of the internet’s food blogs for a little weekend inspiration!

For breakfast I found Maple Bacon Biscuits with Maple Glaze over at A Cozy Kitchen. These looked delicious and I cannot wait to try them. You know how much I love salty/sweet so this is for sure on my to do list come Saturday morning. It is an easy recipe that guides you through the process with beautiful step by step pictures.

Give Me Some Oven has a great recipe for Chicken, Apple & Gorgonzola Salad in Endive. She even served her tasty chicken salad in little endive spoons! So cute! I can’t wait to host a party or shower so I can serve these tasty little treats. Do you think these would go over well at a football watch party?

Next on my weekend to do list is Pasta with Oven Roasted Eggplant, Goat Cheese, and Mint. It is actually a guest post by Eats Well With Others on Marcus Samuelsson’s site (and if it is good enough for his sight it is good enough for me).  This recipe is a great meatless dish that features all the end of summer veggies. It can be hard to find a pasta recipe in America that isn’t overly heavy and flooded with heavy cream so I am so excited to give this a shot!

And for dessert I will be making Millionaire’s Shortbread from Sweat Pea’s Kitchen. They are basically a richer and yummier version of Twix. These look like they could be a little messy, but that only makes it taste better!
That is it for this week’s round up. If you find a great recipe out there let me know. I’d love to share it!
