Bacon Wrapped Barbecue Shrimp Recipes

The Hubby was recently away on business and during these rare times I indulge myself in the foods he won’t or can’t eat. Last time I made spaghetti with butter, salmon, and broccoli (not all in one night). This time I made shrimp. I love it but he is not a fan. So to make a quick and simple dinner for one I came up with this Bacon Wrapped Barbecue Shrimp Recipe.

Preparing Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

This is so simple it really isn’t a recipe so I’ll just spell it out for you. I took twenty extra large shrimp and tossed them in about a half a cup of my leftover low carb barbecue sauce. I then wrapped each shrimp in half a slice of precooked bacon. I used Oscar Meyer Precooked Thick Cut Bacon. If you are South Beaching Dieting you can use cooked turkey bacon instead. Be sure to cook any bacon first or it will still be soggy when the shrimp is done. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper and garlic powder. Cook at 450° for about ten minutes.

These whip up really fast and would be great as a quickie appetizer or easy dinner. See what variations you can come up with…like adding a slice of jalapeno or Monterey jack cheese. Hope you enjoy!
